<image:caption>Nightshop Window, 2015 India ink and salt on paper 49.5 x 38" $5,000 unframed   *many more works available by this artist. These ink on paper works are very representative of Wackers's style, although his works on canvas employ very bright colors. The black and white gives more room to contemplate the various tools his uses to effect a texture or pattern, such a salt, gravel, or shoe prints.   This work is visually strong enough to hold a very large wall. There are also works that are horizontal--if you have any interest in seeing more available works let me know.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Woman with Waterfall, 2014 Oil, graphite, xerox transfer and monoprint paper laid on canvas 29 1/2 × 21 1/2 in approx $4,500   "Stas Orlovski works across a wide range of historical materials, methods, and techniques to “depict a world of glorious decay.” He describes his exploration of sentimental and nostalgic iconography—such as full moons, flowers, butterflies, and songbirds—as “a vehicle for personal expression.” Beautiful, dense, and somber-hued, Orlovski’s compositions allude to Russian children’s books, Victorian illustrations, Japanese prints, and Dutch botanical paintings. His 2009 “Nocturne” series, fusing imagery of birds, trees, flowers, and surreal landscapes with abstract forms and human silhouettes, exemplifies the blend of painting, drawing, printmaking, and collage for which Orlovksi is known."</image:caption>

<image:caption>PTO (Please Turn Over), 2013 Oil, enamel, acrylic and spray paint on linen 78 11/16 × 59 in $8,000 *the most bang for your buck in terms of size! This young dutch artist is also using reductive processes to make large scale paintings with little pops of color. The surface is very flat (as the paint is sanded down in areas) and yet suggests interesting textures. "He savors the process of creation—the satisfaction of applying paint to the canvas, the building up and subsequent sanding of layers, and his eventual arrival at a completed piece. <image:title>INFO - James Nares</image:title>
<image:caption>Damian, 2014 Screenprint 28 × 75 in Edition of 38 approx $7,500-10,000 unframed   "James Nares is best known for his process-oriented paintings in which a large, isolated brushstroke appears to float across a blank monochrome surface. To achieve this sense of weightlessness, Nares invented a special apparatus that enables him hang above the picture and paint from directly overhead, avoiding any drips or other “sign of gravity” which might result from painting onto an upright canvas. Nares likens his artistic routine to hitting a home run in baseball, sometimes achievable in one go but more often requiring multiple attempts to accomplish. Though his emphatic brushwork resembles that of certain Abstract Expressionists, he sees his practice more as one of cycle and repetition as opposed to the relatively unconstrained mark making of the so-called 'action painters.' " A few other prints by this artist are available at a similar size and price point, but with a different color scheme (I've seen emerald green and a burnt siena...the green is more 'splashy'/drippy)--if you are interested in this artist, I'm happy to provide images of more available works.   I see this work living above the credenza in what looked like the dining room space. It is very recognizable as a Nares work, and despite being a print is filled will perceived texture and fluidity.</image:caption>
